Post-Sophomore Pathology Fellowship
Program: The post-sophomore graduate fellowship in pathology at Saint Louis University is a full-time course of study in pathology for one academic year. It provides an educational experience to medical students interested in a career in pathology and in furthering their understanding of mechanisms of disease. During the fellowship, the student has service, conference and teaching activities similar to those of a first-year pathology resident. With faculty, the post-sophomore fellow performs autopsies and examines surgical specimens. Research opportunities in clinical and experimental pathology and elective experiences in subspecialty areas in pathology are available and the fellowship will be "tailor-made" to suit each student's interests.
Requirements: The applicant must be a second or third year student in a medical school in the United States, completing his/her current school year by the beginning of the fellowship on May 1st.
Stipend: $18,000, plus travel and book allowance.
Application deadline is March 31st of the current academic year.
