Community Work and Service
Lauren is an artist, published poet, avid podcast listener, theatre lover, and mathematician.
Lauren is an associate professor at Saint Louis University and was hired in 2020.
Over the summers she adjuncts for the Prison Education Program through Washington
University. She has experience teaching developmental algebra through calculus, statistics,
and math for education majors.
She lives in St. Louis with her husband, two cats (Bobbie and Tikka Masala), and many
sea creatures. She has a very green thumb!
Her favorite things to do in St. Louis are go on walks in Tower Grove Park, explore
the Contemporary Art Museum, and eat authentic Mexican food on Cherokee Street.
She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. In Education Policy and Equity at Saint Louis University.
Expected completion date May 2027.
Her deepest passion is sharing her love of mathematics with others.
She gave a TEDx Talk on the importance of statistics in high schools in May of 2025.
